BARISAL 155/9 (20.0 Ovs)
RR 142-all out (20.0 Ovs)
Barisal Bulls won by 13 runs
MAN OF THE MATCH
Kevon Cooper
That will be it from us today. Tomorrow there is yet another double-header waiting for you. First up Comilla Victorians will take on Chittagong Vikings which will be soon followed by the clash between Sylhet Super Stars and Barisal Bulls. Do join us for those games to catch more entertaining action. Many thanks for your company. Sayonara!!
Cooper: "I showed courage and belief and we know we have a chance in this game. Early wickets will always put you under pressure and good that we could recover well towards the end. I realized that their bowlers were bowling slower balls and told the boys to hit the back of a length and not provide them pace to work with."
Keven Cooper is the Man of the Match for his all-round show
Mahmudullah: "The bowlers bowled really well. Sami and Cooper were brilliant and the spinners were brilliant as well. I just kept rotating the strike and ensured we got to a safe total. Coops and Sami did really well to get us over 150 and happy to start off with a win. We have to keep believing ourselves."
Shakib: "Yeah I think we bowled really well upfront. We did not do well in the final overs. I think that was the difference and that's put us under pressure. Every game you can't expect the batsmen to score big especially in T20 it's very hard to score facing just 20-30 balls. The top-order has to take more responsibility. Credit to them for holding the nerve."
Job well done Barisal Bulls! What a way to start your campaign! Barisal Bulls are now off the mark in the points table courtesy of a magnificent all-round effort from Kevon Cooper. Soumya Sarkar provided ideal start for Riders, but the run rate kept climbing as their middle-order batsmen failed to take advantage of the spinners. For the first four overs, the scorecard read: 33/1, next four 45/2 (12/1), next four 67/4 (22/2). That should give you an idea of how Riders went about their chase. Keven Cooper is clearly the hero for Barisal Bulls by a long distance. Mohammad Mithun scored a scratchy fifty for the Riders but it proved to be in vain.

Hits, misses and surprises from Indian Premier League auction 2016 Bengaluru,  by  Akash Sarkar  •  Last updated on Sunday, 07 February, 2016, 01:13 AM Pawan Negi was bought by Delhi for a whopping Rs. 8.5 crore - the second highest bid for the day © BCCI Going into the Indian Premier League auction 2016 on Saturday (February 6), the likes of Shane Watson and Yuvraj Singh were expected to fetch a fat pay cheque. Watson eventually went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 9.5 crore while Yuvraj went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 7 crore but not before the franchises surprised everyone by not going after him straight away. Mumbai Indians went for him after a lengthy delay before Bangalore and Hyderabad joined in. It was interesting to see that the franchises were a bit cautious throughout the day and while there was aggressive bidding in some cases, it didn't stretch past the Rs. 10 Crore mark - a mark breached quite a few times last year. "Having been...
